Two weeks without a post means that I was either finally attacked by the gang of squirrels that I know is out to get me when I go running, or that I was avalanched by a ridiculous amount stuff to do offline.
Luckily (or unluckily, depending on perspective), the reason is the latter. The bags under my eyes will vouch for me.
There was an thick and even spatter (there’s an image) of weekday work, weekEND work, wine parties, company retreats, teaching stuff, meeting people, hiding from people, website launches, workday lunches, and general Murphy’s Law-induced mayhem to deal with.
I think it’s starting to slow down, but maybe it’s the same kind of thing that makes going 60 miles an hour seem like a slow jaunt after you’ve been driving 85 for a few hours. I dunno, we’ll see.
I’m just glad the holidays are almost here - they represent the world’s reset button, and I always like it when both me and the world around me take a deep breath at the same time.
Plus, there’s egg nog, and it’s very hard to argue with that.
