Everyone knows that the David Lee Roth years were the best years of the Van Halen dynasty. The music had youthful purpose and a certain spontaneity that only happens in the early stages of a band’s career. There was none of the redolent cheese that permeated their later career (until Diamond Dave came back, that is).

On May 4th, 2007, we asked internet users to help isolate Michael Jackson’s white glove in all 10,060 frames of his nationally televised landmark performance of Billy Jean. 72 hours later 125,000 gloves had been located….It is released here for all to download and use as an input into any digital system. Just as the data was gathered collectively it is our hope that it will be visualized collective

Produced as a kind of NYE gift for Radiohead fans, which I’d never really considered myself, this movie contains some live versions of the songs on their In Rainbows CD (52 minutes worth!) - and it’s darn good. Count me in as a fan.

Open it in another tab and do some other work. It’s a tasty soundtrack. Be sure to check back every now and again to witness his facial contortions. Oh, and there’s also some creepy story being told in the cut-scenes between songs. It adds to the quirky weirdness of it all.
