Everyone knows that the David Lee Roth years were the best years of the Van Halen dynasty. The music had youthful purpose and a certain spontaneity that only happens in the early stages of a band’s career. There was none of the redolent cheese that permeated their later career (until Diamond Dave came back, that is).

If you ever DID doubt that Roth was the man, doubt no longer - here, churned up from the darkest depths of the net, is the vocal-only track to Running With The Devil:
